Good news: Jackson was discharged from the Critical Care Unit late in the night and taken to a normal recovery room. The doctors are encouraged by his recovery and he even ate from a bottle. We'll begin spending the nights with him to help with feeding as enough tubes have been removed for us to hold him now.
His incision is still red and swollen. Fortunately, the area around his incision has somewhat cleared, but the doctors are still wanting to see the redness leave his incision. He still doesn't have a fever which is a good sign. If his incision does clear up, he should be in good shape to come home in a couple of weeks.

I was so glad to find "Jackson's Blog". The report from today sounds so good. We are praying that he will not have any infection/ complications. He is an absolutely beautiful baby!!! What a big boy.
Please know we are praying for all of you.
Love,

Thank you so much for creating this blog. So good to have this connection with you all right now! We are praising God for the good news Friday. However, we will cont. to keep you in our thoughts and daily prayers. Sounds like the fun is beginning. Take those night feedings and lock those memories in your heart/mind! though is doesn't seem like it when you are exhausted and it's 4am, those moments late in the night are sooooo special and fly by! Rest when he rests/sleeps...best advice anyone gave me a year ago! We love you! michael, megan and isabella
