They're Definitely Brothers

When Jude arrived, I thought he looked like Jackson when he was born. Here are some pictures of the two of them which seem quite similar!

Hey Jude!

Well, our new son is here! Jude Russell Allen was born at 8:25 AM on Wednesday, July 29. He weighed in at 7 lb 14 oz.

We're thankful to see that Jude is a healthy little boy. All of the tests have gone well. Because of Jackson's heart condition, the doctors performed an echocardiogram for Jude and his heart looks great. He's breathing well, his heart beats strongly, and we're very happy.

Juliette had a planned c-section this time and it was night and day compared to our experience with Jackson. The operating room was clam and quiet. In fact, we were wondering if it had started when we heard "we see a head". Juliette has recovered well and started walking the halls yesterday. She's moving around slowly on her own now and we're planning to go back home tomorrow.

Next week Jackson will be a big brother. Wednesday July 29 is the scheduled delivery.

Happy Birthday to You. We can't believe it has already been a year. Soon after waking up this morning, Jackson enjoyed his first cupcake and got his first taste of home maintenance with his own John Deere lawn mower. But tonight, he will leave all that work behind and wind down with a relaxing evening at Chuck E. Cheese.
